No. Add spending as you go, or update your current balance when you need to catch up. You can continue without filling in every missed purchase. Keep your bills and income dates current too.

Zalt uses your available balance and accounts for bills and money kept aside in your plan. Expected income is separate until you record receiving it. The estimate depends on the balance and commitments you enter; it is a guide, not a guarantee.

Yes. Free debt tracking includes repayment history, dated balance checks, undo and CSV export. Compare snowball and avalanche estimates, edit starting assumptions, and apply monthly or dated one-off extras to supported monthly cash-paid debts. Forecast assumptions do not change recorded balances or bills. Applying an extra repayment plan does not record a payment.

No. You enter your balance and upcoming bills yourself. Zalt never asks for your bank login, so there is no connection to break. Your plan works offline, and Zalt never offers loans.

Your plan stays on this device unless you enable encrypted backup, save an encrypted copy or export CSV files from Settings. Automatic copies are saved after changes and retried when you return to Zalt. Choose an off-device folder. Where supported, protect the recovery code with your phone's biometrics or screen lock and keep a copy with your Apple or Google account. Recovery on a new phone depends on that account syncing or restoring the code. A separately saved recovery code is the alternative and is needed if you lose account access or switch platforms. Your storage provider controls cloud uploads. CSV files are not encrypted.

Zalt supports plans for Australia, South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Brazil and Spanish-speaking Latin America, including Puerto Rico. Korean and Japanese are supported, with local bill-provider suggestions and amounts in Korean won (KRW) or Japanese yen (JPY). Choose your country when creating a plan to use its currency. Your plan works offline.
